Explanation of Tests
BIA (Bio-impedance analysis) – This is a general test of your health
- Phase Angle: represents the health of the cell membrane and the cellular vitality/age.
- Intracellular and Extracellular Fluid: fluid inside and outside the cells. If the body is toxic, there will be a higher concentration of fluid outside the cells.
- Fat Mass: Body fat percentage. Body fat is the primary toxin storing tissue.
- BCM: Body Cell Mass – contains the metabolically active components of the body. Achieving and maintaining optimal BCM is an indicator of health, longevity, and immunity. Early detection of change can lead to early intervention against disease.
- BMR: Number of calories consumed at a normal resting state over a 24 hour period.
Total Cholesterol |
Your HDL and LDL added together. |
LDLs |
Bad cholesterol. It damages the arterial walls and creates oxidative stress inside the body. Trans fats and hydrogenated oils will increase this level. |
HDLs |
Good cholesterol. It scavenges the bad cholesterol. Exercise, fish oils (Omega 3s) and other good fats (Omega 6s) will increase this level. |
TC to LDL Ratio |
Optimal range is 3:1 or less. If 5:1, risk of heart disease doubles |
Triglycerides |
Level of sugars and carbohydrates in the bloodstream. High triglycerides simulate fat storage. |
Glucose Fasting |
Level of sugar in the blood after a 12 hour fast. High numbers indicate cells are heading towards or have already become insulin resistant (precursor to diabetes). |
HA1C |
Used to determine control of long-term glucose levels. |
Cell Oxidation Test |
Level of “rusting” (oxidation/aging) of the cells. Increase in oxidation damages the skin, eyes, creates age spots, and quickens the general aging of the body. |
Zinc Tally |
Indicates the level of zinc in the body. Zinc is required for 100 different enzyme systems in the body (hair, digestion, skin, immune system, etc.). |
Vitamin C |
Indicates the level of vitamin C in the body. Essential for fighting off infections, cancer; it binds with free radicals to inhibit oxidative damage. |
Adrenals |
Measures the level of stress the adrenal (stress hormone) glands are under. The adrenals secrete hundreds of different hormones and when overworked can cause problems such as weight gain, headaches, fatigue, disease, etc. |
Ammonia |
High numbers indicate kidney infection or high stress. |
Nitrates |
Indicates infection in the body |
Leukocytes in Urine |
Signals infection in the urinary tract or lowered immunity. |
Protein in Urine |
Damage of cells or inflammation, allergies in diet, swelling, hypertension. |
Blood in Urine |
Indicates infection, oxidation, stress, inflammation, or menstrual cycle. |
Urine pH |
The body’s overall pH should be alkaline. The urine, however, should be acid. If the urine is too alkaline, it suggests the body is retaining acidity. Infections thrive in acid environments. |
Saliva pH |
Measures alkaline reserves in tissues. These are needed to have enough buffering agents for the body to cope with high stress. This test measures if the body is under high stress and has enough buffers or needs adrenal support. |
